As part of the Grand Prix event, which will be starting next weekend in Singapore, the Singapore River is having "The Singapore River Festival 2008, 19 - 28 September".

Spanning a range of jazz notations and set amid the backdrop of the stunning skyline of Clark Quay, Urban Jazz Crossover promises soulful orchestration of artists, and features one of Japan's most talented jazz connoisseurs, quasimode.

The night started with Cosa Nostra and followed by Azzucar, with each performance lasted for an hour. The first performance was a mixture of Cuban and Salsa, whereas Azzucar delivered smooth tempo music that you would get when at a chillout bar or lounge.

Last to perform was the one I had been waiting for the whole night, quasimode. They delivered a two-hour performance. As expected, a highly energetic showcase of jazz from the Land of the Rising Sun where magical freedom awaits ended my night with me sitting there, totally mesmerized by their performances. My favourite is the bassist. He is so handsome and last night he was so cool!!!

I was there since 8:00pm where the event started and it ended at 12:15am. Nice dinner with wine, great music varies from chillout, salsa and urban jazz by the river. C'est la vie!~
